Good Times

Whoa, people. BIG, EXCITING things happening lately! January has pretty much been fantastic and I'm pretty sure February is going to be even more awesome. 2012 is off to a bombass start.

Most recently, I got to spend the weekend in Savannah with some of my best college buddies. We wandered around, ate some good food, had some good conversations and saw Grease, which was super cute and fun. Too boot, the hotel was free! Can't beat that goodness.

And the Korea job business is just coming along so great. I am getting more and more excited about the whole thing whenever I talk to people about it. I know people that have gone and one that is there now and they have nothing but good things to say about it. Makes me really happy. The only downside is the things I'll miss while I'm gone. Thank goodness for the internet. I can't believe how fast it's all happening, but I am really ready for this new adventure.

I am also REALLY ready for it be 2:36 on Tuesday afternoon. Because then I'll be in Atlanta picking up a very special Swiss friend!!! I don't know that I have ever been so happy to go to the airport. :) I think the next three weeks are going to be fantastic.

Last, but not least, and on a totally unrelated note: I am re-reading "The Power of One" by Bryce Courtenay and not only do I highly recommend it, but I also wanted to share some of my favorite quotes from it...

"Sadness has a season and will pass."

"Pride is holding your head up when everyone around you has theirs bowed. Courage is what makes you do it."

"...God is too busy making the sun come up and go down and watching so the moon floats just right in the sky to be concerned with such rubbish. Only man wants always God should be there to condemn this one and save that one. Always it is man who wants to make heaven and hell. God is too busy training the bees to make honey and every morning opening up all the new flowers for business. ... It is better just to get on with the business of living and minding your own business and maybe, if God likes the way you do things, he may just let you flower for a day or a night. But don't go pestering and begging and telling him all your stupid little sins, that way you will spoil his day. Absoloodle."

There are some other ones, but you should probably just read the book for yourself. I am also going to start trying to incorporate the word absoloodle into my vocabulary more often. I suggest you do the same.

Dream big people!
